Missouri recognizes concealed carry permits issued by any other state no matter what state the permit holder resides in. As a result, many Missouri residents opt for an out-of-state permit. Information regarding out-of-state permits can be found by viewing the information found on our Out-Of-State Permits page.

At this time Illinois is not accepting application from Missouri residents for their concealed carry license.  Illinois does though allow Missouri residents who hold a valid Missouri concealed carrry permit the ability to carry in their vehicle while in the state of Illinois. However when leaving the vehicle the firearm must be either left in a locked container within the vehicle or the vehicle must be locked.
